L’histoire derrière le graphisme
New York, July 13, 1977. A historic power outage plunged the city into darkness. In the Bronx, this night of chaos also made hip-hop history: DJ equipment, previously out of reach for many young artists, was salvaged during the looting. Grandmaster Caz, a pioneering figure in the movement, would later say he took advantage of that night.
The BLACKOUT graphic pays tribute to this defining moment in New York hip-hop culture.
