The story behind the design
New York, 1970s. In the streets of Chinatown, the Flying Dragons establish themselves as one of the city’s most feared Chinese American gangs. Composed mainly of immigrants from Hong Kong and affiliated with the Hip Sing Tong organization, the gang builds its operations around racketeering, extortion, illegal gambling, and heroin trafficking.
For nearly two decades, a bloody rivalry with the Ghost Shadows, another influential Chinatown gang, fuels a full-blown turf war.
The design is inspired by this dark chapter in the history of New York’s underground scene in the 1970s and 1980s.
